Arrests For Riot,--On Tuesday last, Freeman Berry, Samuel Foster, William Salisbury and Caleb Pittsley were arraigned before Samuel Shove, Esq., in Pawtucket, Mass., charged with riotously and routously assembling in the streets of said town on the 25th day of July last past, with evil intent, &c. Berry waived an examination, and recognized to appear at the Court of Common Pleas to be holden at Taunton on Monday next. Salisbury and Foster were recognized to appear at the same court, and Pittsley was discharged. The offence charged grew out of the movement for the reduction of the hours of labor in the factories. C. B. Farnsworth appeared for the Commonwealth and J. H. Weeden for the defendants.
