Extract of a Letter from Albany, dated March 12, 1759.

By an Express from Fort Edward, last Saturday Night, we have an Account, That Major Rogers was on his Return from a grand Scout, with upwards of 200 Men ; that he has taken 5 Prisoners and 6 Scalps, and killed about 30 of the Enemy : Our Loss it is said, is three Men killed, one Mohawk wounded, and about 14 Men Frost bit. The Prisoners give an Account, that 70 French Indians were sent out from Ticonderoga to cut off our Convoys between Still Water and Saratoga. All the posts above Albany are put upon their Guard ; so that it's hoped no Mischief will ensue from these Savages.
