Case of Snyder Versus Logan Proves a Knotty One for the Jury.
A jury was locked up in the Superior Court last night on the old case of L. J. Snyder against James Logan. This is the third time the case has gone to trial and the prospects are that it will be mistrial.
Mrs. Snyder is suing to recover a strip of land taken by Mr. Logan and built upon in readjusting his property lines, the lots of the parties adjoining in South Oglethorpe ward. For a number of years an alleyway existed between the property of Mrs. Snyder and Mr. Logan. When the latter desired to erect additional buildings on his property he had the city surveyor give him the lines with the result that he was given the alleyway as a part of his lot and an alleyway opened on the other side of his property.
The case is a peculiar one. The first trial resulted in a verdict for Mr. Logan. A new trial was granted and the second time there was a mistrial.
