UNESCO Gives Aid To Hurricane Area

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay - (ANP) Some 1,000 worth of UNESCO gift coupons were given to Haiti last week to help reconstruction of hurricane-damaged schools on the island.

The coupons were token gifts from voluntary organizations in several nations.

Luther Evans, director general of the United Nations Educational, Scientific Cultural organization, made the presentation to Leon Lalau, Haitian minister of education and head of the Haitian delegation to the eighth general conference of UNESCO meeting here.
