Boxing Verdicts

HONOLULU, Aug. 18. (U.P.)—A growing resentment over alleged anti-Filipino fight decisions reached a climax here last night when 4000 Filipino boxing enthusiasts held a mass meeting and declared a boycott on next Friday's return bout between Young Nationalista and Vernon Jackson, featherweights.

The Filipinos declared they would remove the boycott if judges and referee were brought from other islands in the territory.

It was thought that the meeting and its results were in protest of Jackson's recent decision over Nationalista.

The unpopularity of awards made was first noticeable about six months ago, with feeling constantly mounting as various Filipinos have lost their bouts on decisions since then.
