CHICAGO-(ANP)-Eddie Houston, 36, Republican captain of the 50th precinct of the 2nd Ward was placed under arrest by County Judge Edmund J. Jarecki Thursday, and his bond set at $1,500, following investigation by the judge of ballot fraud charges just primary day. Harry Stewart, 35, witness against Houston, testified that the precinct captain had given him a ballot and a slip of paper with a name under which he was to vote. Stewart said his reward was to be a drink of whiskey. Judge Jarecki continued the case until next Friday when he will summon the entire election board to appear for questioning.
