The ship Sultan, arrived yesterday in 37 days from Dublin, has furnished Irish Papers to the 20th of September, containing London dates some days later than before received. No event of importance had occurred; but they contain some rumours which deserve notice. The captain of a neutral vessel, arrived at London, reported that the Russians had landed a considerable force on the northern coast of Holstein: and the captain of another said that the French had taken possession of the south of that Duchy, and had levied heavy contributions on it. Another report, which may have given rise to the former, was, that general Bernadotte had threatened to take possession of it if any Russians were allowed to land there. A Russian fleet of seven sail of the line and six frigates had arrived in the Sound, intended to cruize in the Baltic and the North Sea. A rumour was circulated in London at the Stock Exchange, on the 14th, that a peace would shortly be effected between Britain and France, but nothing had transpired that could corroborate it. Paris papers had been received to the 5th ult. which mention that Bonaparte had reached Mons on his way to Aix la Chapelle.
