ARISTOCRACY OF DEMOCRACY.
Benjamin Davis, alias, Benjamin Davies.
Can the Rev. Editor of the Sentinel explain how it is that the letter E was never introduced in his name until after it appeared in that paper as editor? Was this alteration made from his being ashamed of the honorable mechanical profession of his father, who was a tailor-and he himself being apprenticed to the trade?
Has he ever denied his occupation? Or does he wish to create the impression that he is connected with the highly respectable family who spell their names with an E?
Satisfactory explanations are requested.
