Rev. B. J. Johnson And Wife Will Be Feted This Week
The 14th anniversary of Rev. and Mrs. B. J. Johnson as pastor and worker of the Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church will get underway tonight with the deacons and mothers in charge of the well-arranged program.
The sermon will be delivered by the Rev. J. R. Barnett, able pastor of the Butler Street Baptist Church who is also moderator of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Association.
Deacon General, chairman of the board of deacons, will preside over the following program: Devotions by Deacon R. D. Price; remarks by Deacon W. T. Carter; paper by Mrs. Elmarie Stephens; selection by deacon board; remarks by Mother Pearly Holland; music by Butler Street Baptist Church.
Dr. J. M. Nabrit, secretary, National Baptist Convention, Inc., will preach the anniversary sermon Sunday night. The public is cordially invited to attend.
