In CHARLESTON, (S. C.) a distemper prevails similar to the Philadelphia and New-York fever, attended by the black vomit.
N. CAROLINA is healthy.--[Some accounts say it is sickly in Newbern.]
VIRGINIA has no prevailing epidemic at present, though many die at Petersburg of common disorders.
MARYLAND is healthy.
PHILADELPHIA (Penn.) is very sickly indeed, but the last accounts were rather more favourable.
New-Jersey is remarkably healthy.
New York (in the city and suburbs) sickly, but recovering.
The seaports of CONNECTICUT have experienced a slight visitation of the fever, but health is again restored.
RHODE-ISLAND is healthy.
BOSTON and all the seaports of MASSACHUSETTS, excepting Newburyport, have experienced the blessings of Hygela in a high degree. Newburyport is nearly restored to usual health: perhaps one solitary instance of the late epidemic remains--but we are informed of no more.
