Special Meeting Friday To Hear Reedy's Report On Conference
WORK STEADY
Salem, O.--Attendance at the meetings of Local Union No. 42 has improved considerably. It must be the cool weather that is driving the people inside, as all vacations are over now and we must settle down to the affairs of our local. Everyone help bring our attendance up to standard.
A special meeting has been called for Friday, September 30, to hear Brother Reedy's report on the Wage Conference. Every member is urged to attend this meeting so you will have the facts imprinted in your mind.
The meeting adjourned last Friday night a little early to enable the football fans to watch Salem defeat Sebring 39-0. We expect to continue to let our members see the games, so don't make the excuse you can't attend the meetings because of your sporting blood.
Salem's big fall festival parade is Saturday afternoon at 2 p. m. It will be worth seeing. if for no other reason than to see the Balsley sisters riding saddle horses in the parade.' We hope everyone gives them a great big hand.
We are glad to report the Salem China Company employees are having steady work and hope to see it continue.
Thought for the day: Do not try to take by force what the other fellow has: but develop that which is yours.
