Full Text

A New Secession--A correspondent of the Clarksville Sentinel, writing from Prairieville, says: The old banner of secession has again been unfurled in our midst, and all acquainted with the past history of Prairieville know that this means business! We don't propose to run a tilt with Uncle Sam this time. The object of our rebellion is to throw off our allegiance to a certain township whose railroad interests conflict with ours, and form a new township, with Prairieville for its "hub." In this secession Calumet will lose a rich slice of taxable territory. The new township will at once raise $100,000 for the Short Line railroad, and "the work will be immediately commenced."
