Lot Of Love
For Audience
HOLLYWOOD (IP) - Sexy television siren Voluptua, fired after letters flooded her station and complained she was tearing down Hollywood morals, said today she "just wanted to bring lots of love" to her audience.
"I can't understand why people objected to me," the statuesque blonde sniffled. "I just wanted to bring them lots of love and they didn't appreciate it. I thought sex was here to stay."
Voluptua, whose real name is Gloria Pall, was fired yesterday by local TV station KABC which had received indignant complaints from church groups, the Parent-Teachers Assn. and similar groups.
She appeared between reels of a late movie, wearing revealing gowns and speaking in a low, smoldering voice.
"My gowns were really very modest," she insisted, "and everything I said and did was perfectly innocent. The people who wrote in just misconstrued my motives."
Voluptua isn't worried about her future because she has both TV and motion picture jobs lined up. She also plans a trip to New York next week for personal appearances.
"I guess the trouble was that my brand of sex appeal was too adult for television," she said.
