Concert by Ole Bull in Washington.—The renowned Ole Bull, the great Norwegian violinist, now in this country on business, in compliance with an invitation addressed to him by a large number of the members of the Senate and House of Representatives, several of the members of the Cabinet, and many of the foreign Ministers, has consented to give a concert in Washington, Friday evening next. The occasion, and the high source from which the invitation emanates, will no doubt inspire the artist to his greatest and noblest effort. In reply to the invitation he says:
"With gratitude and pride I acknowledge the communications you have done me the honor to address to me. Loyal to my art, I rejoice that it is thus signally distinguished in me its faithful votary. To embrace the opportunity you offer is at once pleasure and duty."
