The Printers to the Public.
SUCH of our Customers as are in Arrears, for this Paper from December 1784, (from which Time the Subscribers commenced Publishers) and are desirous to support a FREE and IMPARTIAL PRESS, founded upon true Republican Principles, and which, so long as the present Publishers have the direction of it, shall ever be considered the CENTRE of LIBERTY, have now a fair opportunity of gratifying their Desires by discharging their several Accounts immediately. The importance of a Free Press in a Free State needs no comment.--It ever has proved the scourge of Tyrants and the dread of designing and ambitious Men.
Fully determined that the New-Hampshire Gazette shall not be clogged with the Influence of any one particular Person or Party,--a ready compliance with the above Request will not only enable the Publishers to prosecute their Plan with Pleasure, but serve their Readers and Patrons to Acceptance.
MELCHER and OSBORNE.
