Text Luke 13:32. Sub. "Go tell that fox that I am in town." That was the text and subject that our minister Rev. L. C. Harris used for the a.m. service.
He first gave the characteristic of a fox, our minister stated that a fox is a sly animal. he will wait until your back is turned, then will spring on you. Some members of the church have the disposition as the fox. they will smile and be sweet before your face, but when your back is turned they are your enemy. That is why Herod would not come to Jesus and express himself to his face, but sent others. And Jesus told them: "Go tell that fox, Behold I cast out devils, heal the sick, raise the dead, open the eyes of the blind, Tell him I'm in town."
Deacon Turner of Friendship Baptist and Pop Woods of Duluth, Minn., open devotional with singing and prayer. United with the Church by Christian experience James Wright Chaney Grove Baptist Church Monroe, Louisiana.
The afternoon service was well attended.
Miss Genevia Haves brought a wonderful program. Our pastor's wife Inetha Harris gave the welcome address. Mrs. Clara Smith of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church was at the piano, also she rendered two beautiful solos. United with the Church in the afternoon service, was Mrs. Larcinia Renstatea by Christian experience.
Visitors: Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Adkins of North Central Baptist Church, St. Paul. Visitors are always welcome to worship with Friendship. All officers was elected by the Church after the service.
Virginia Cockrell read a beautiful paper in the program.
"And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple Luke 14:27.
