West Point.—The board of visitors appointed by the Secretary of War, are this year, Gen. Pierre Van Cortlandt, of N. Y. President; Hon. J. Burnett, a Senator from Ohio; Gen. M. Stokes of N. C.; Col. H. Whitely of Delaware; Lt. Col. W. J. Worth, U. S. A.; Maj. W. A. Davis, of Kentucky; C. E. Robins, R. I.; Levi Pauling of Pa.; George P. Potter of do.; Timothy Walker, of Round Hill, Massachusetts; D. Archer, U. S. A.; Dr. J. Augustine Smith, of N. Y.; Rev. F. W. Hatch, of Va.; Col. Thomas S.
