A person named Mutterbach, a clerk aged about 20 years, fell into a profound sleep. Gentlemen of the Faculty bled him several times and used other methods to awake him without success. After sleeping for thirty two days, he awaked of himself the 11th of March. On examination, his health was found unimpaired, but he was not allowed to go out or eat freely due to insatiable hunger. A like accident happened some years since, lasting only three days.
