Shades of Dan'l Boone!

He's not a "little shaver" in the ordinary sense of the word. Six feet tall in his stocking feet, they say.

But Joe Rubint, 615 New Fourth St., will do little shaving, none, in fact, during the next few days, until Tuesday, when a wager that he won't shave for ten days comes to an end. The sum of $1 is involved in the bet.

Master Rubint is one of these twice-a-day shavers who can mow down his beard in the morning and mow it down again in the evening.

At press time today his beard was doing fine and sprouting faster hour by hour. By Tuesday Joe will be ready to join a House of David basketball team.

Note: The picture of the man with the gay '90s handle-bar isn't exactly connected with this story, but we thought it might dress it up a bit. The bearded lady also has no connection with this dissertation.
