According to letters from Lisbon, the Court are by no means pleased with the situation in which the Spaniards have left them, by concluding a separate truce with the Algerines, whose corsairs are become more numerous than ever, both within and without the Mediterranean. Her Most faithful Majesty is, however, resolved to protect her trade against the Barbarians, for which purpose she has appointed two or three frigates to rendezvous in Secre Bay, which is just without the Streights Mouth; there are already in the Mediterranean, a Portuguese man of war of 60 guns, and three others.
