Connecticut.—The election in this State has terminated not so favorably for the republican cause as we wished. But yet there is a prospect, that before long, Connecticut will be herself again.— Republicanism we find has gained ground since the last spring election. About one third of the representatives elected to the Legislature are republicans, and open supporters of the present administration. A considerable change has been made in the representation to Congress. Two of the old, and three new members are elected.— There is one vacancy.
