Pvt. Clifford H. Allen, son of Mrs. Gracie Allen, Route 2, Box 82, Madison, Ga., leaves the shelter of a trench camp at Camp Desert Rock, Nev., where he witnessed the firing of the atomic cannon. A member of the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment stationed at Camp Pickett, Va., Allen participated in the latest series of atomic maneuvers and was given an extensive indoctrination in atomic warfare.
