Full Text

The editor of the Gazette, in his notice of the Carthage Convention, exhibits a growing disposition to turn Democrat. We have all along said that he was coming over as fast as his "oblique" course would permit him. We can assure the editor that we are preparing a kettle for the purpose of having him not only "dyed in the wool," but in the classical language of Generallisimo Hamilton in his epistle to the "Slabtonians," to imprint the true color upon his "Epidermis." We intend to "souse him into it," sometime about New Years.

As we conceive that the Gazette editor is sufficiently "done up" by our correspondent "Cadmus," we shall remain "mum."
