JEALOUSY THE MOTIVE.
New York, June 16.-William Meinhoffer, the young man who last night shot Mary Bolte, died today at Fordham hospital where a few hours earlier Miss Bolte also died. The immediate cause of the tragedy may never be known though the motive is believed to have been jealousy. Meinhoffer, who was 23 years old, was the son of a retired banker. He and Miss Bolte had a quarrel recently. She formerly lived in Los Angeles, Cali., and is said to have lately come into a small fortune.
