Good Farming.—The Ocala (Florida) Banner says:

"A gentleman in this vicinity purchased 120 acres of pine land—one-half cleared—for $375. With himself and family, consisting entirely of females, assisted only by a small boy, for whose services he paid $50, he raised the following crops, viz: Eight bales of long cotton, worth about $2,000; $850 worth of corn; $300 worth of potatoes; oats and fodder worth $75, and from the pinders raised he fattened $100 worth of pork. In the production of these crops he employed two horses. His total expenses for the farm and the support of the family was $600."
