Full Text

PROSECUTING Attorney Goodwin says that he will never consent to allow the order as introduced by Mr. Sturgiss in reference to the Morgantown and Western railroad to become an order of the court unless it be materially amended. He wants it to contain a provision that the road shall start from Morgantown and that the bonds shall be exchanged for a first mortgage on the road. Surveys and estimates of the road are also to be required before he will favor the plan. Failing to get these things he says that he will endeavor by all the means in his power to prevent the court from granting it.
