Dec. 11. The late boasted Success trumpeted out by the Turks, has perhaps, caus'd the Kaimakan to declare to Monr. Tahlman, Ambassador from the Emperor, that if the Grand Signior should think fit to negotiate a Treaty of Accommodation with the Czarina, it must be on Condition that her Imperial Majesty shall condescend to make the first Overtures, the Ottoman Porte being determin'd not to shew the least Advances. In the mean Time, all possible Preparations of War are carried on in both Empires; and tis said, that the Turks propose to have a formidable Fleet in the Black Sea next Summer; and for that Purpose have call'd home all their Vessels employ'd abroad, particularly those on the Coast of Egypt.
