The Senate of the State of New-York, have, we hear been pleased to present Mr. Paine, author of the celebrated Pamphlet, stiled Common Sense, with the choice of two farms, one situate on Long Island, and the other at New Rochelle, as specified in their unanimous resolution. And there is no doubt but the other branches of the Legislature will concur in this honorable testimonial--a testimonial founded on, and dictated by, gratitude, and conferred as an acknowledgment of the high sense they entertain of Mr. Paine's usefulness and abilities, and of services he has rendered the United States.
