From information received by officer O'Dwyer on yesterday morning he arrested John Crump (negro) and his wife, who live on the corner of Cary and Adams streets, for having this property in their possession. The larger part of it was found on their premises, and the keen-scented officer hopes to recover it all.
Dan Christian, the escaped convict who was rearrested by the same officer and conveyed to the penitentiary a few days since, is also concerned in the robbery. Crump, the man arrested yesterday, is a refugee from justice in Fluvanna county, having robbed Mr. John Knightwood, near Fork Union, about a year since, of a lot of tobacco and chickens.
