Mrs Millicent Marshall, 3937 Portland Av, will represent the Twin City Chapter of Jack and Jill, Inc, as delegate at the Annual National Convention to be held in Durham, N C June 18, 19 and 20th.
The conference theme for this year will be "Appraising Family Life in a Changing World," with Dr Gelolo McHugh of Duke University as Symposium Leader.
Mrs Marshall will leave by plane Thursday, June 17 and will extend her trip a few days in order to visit with her brother, Albert Burgess, now a resident of Durham Mr Burgess is manager of the Actuarial Department of North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Mrs Marshall will teach art at the Minneapolis Art Institute during the summer season of art classes for grade school students She will assume her duties directly upon her return June 22.
