Extract of a Letter from a Gentleman at New York, dated the 6th Instant.

LORD Rollo, when he appeared before Dominico, was visited on board by the Commandant, to capitulate; but the Merchants and Inhabitants being afraid of their Effects, went on board to desire him to desist; for they would not agree to any Terms. Rollo detained the Commandant, made good his Landing, with the Loss of five Grenadiers and 2 other Men, obliged them to capitulate, and for their Insolence, allowed his Soldiers three Days Plunder. A Merchant from Antigua, brought the ready Cash, and bought all the Coffee, Indigo, &c. from the Soldiers, and will make an immense Sum by it.
