Red Wing, Dec. 6.-Settlement outside of court of the dispute over the G. O. Brohaugh estate between the relatives of the deceased was today reported to be pending.
Judge Wm. M. Ericson said today that the estate of the deceased seminary professor would approximate close to $180,000 rather than $150,000, as originally was given out.
It was rumored that heirs disputing the will asked for a settlement of ten per cent of the net estate. There are 13 relatives of the deceased, nine of whom were given legacies of $1,000 each and the remaining four omitted from mention. The bulk of the estate goes to G. O. Brohaugh, Willmar, namesake nephew of the deceased, appointed executor with full-power now to act in settling the case.
An appeal now pending in district court from Judge Ericson's order allowing the will to probate has not been set for hearing yet.
It is understood that the suggestion of a ten per cent settlement is on the net estate after attorney fees and an inheritance tax that will probably amount to $14,000 is settled.
