SOMETHING IN THE WIND.

We understand that a vessel has been taken up, for St. Mary's, on board of which all the United States' troops now on this station (amounting to about 80 men) are to be embarked, together with their officers. Other troops, it is said, are to proceed immediately on the same destination, from Savannah. The object of these movements is not positively known, but the general impression is, that their first step will be the occupation of Amelia Island—"peaceably if they can, forcibly if they must."—And from all that can be ascertained, it appears pretty certain that East-Florida has been or will be immediately on the meeting of Congress, ceded to the United States, by Spain.
