APPROACHING ARMISTICE.
It will be recollected that when we published the substance of the despatches by the Bramble, in anticipation of the President's communication of them to Congress, we hazarded the assertion that they must gradually lead to an Armistice. We have repeatedly advanced the same idea since. Public opinion, perhaps, has not been decidedly with us until within a few days. It is certainly with us now.
Our information from Washington is such that we have no hesitation in predicting that an armistice will be proclaimed in a few weeks. Philadelphia True American.
