Full Text

Frank Granger and Mr. Seward, the two rival whig candidates for Governor next fall, are in town showing off their paces. They are both capital animals, and in the present state of the weather, either would put it into Mr. Locofoco Marcy, without mercy. We were rather in favor of Frank till we espied him on Monday, arm in arm, with a loafer, called Thurlow Weed, well known for certain shaving propensities in Rochester.

A very strong interest is making for Seward to be the next whig candidate for Governor. At present we are weighing both, one in each hand. Which we shall take is doubtful—but whoever we go for, so goes the state. Stick apin there.
