DUSTY LAMBERT IS TAKEN BY OFFICERS

Wanted on Counterfeiting Charge by Federal Officers; Carried to Raleigh

Len "Dusty" Lambert, white, said to be about 25 years old, was arrested here yesterday afternoon by Chief of Police J. H. Langston and Sgt. C. C. Harris for federal officers on what Chief Langston said was a counterfeiting charge. Lambert was carried to Raleigh late yesterday afternoon by U. S. Marshal Davis, and bond was understood to have been fixed at a hearing there today.

Police officers stated that they had been seeking Lambert quietly for the past two or three weeks on advices from secret service agents that he was wanted by them, and officers walked into a local cafe yesterday and picked him up.

It was understood today from officers that Lambert's home is in Sanford.
