ONE SNAG OUT OF THE WAY. In the days when Black Democracy was uppermost in New-Hampshire year after year, and by very decisive majorities, the impression prevailed amongst many young men, on coming of age, that no other party could prevail here. This political ascendancy was in fact largely promoted by the belief that the party was invincible, and therefore ambitious young men, those who had not formed decisive opinions, floated away into the Black Democratic ranks. Probably the political course of the late Charles G. Atherton was determined for life by this very circumstance, and so of hundreds and perhaps thousands of others. By prudent management of the Republican cause, enshrined as that cause is in the hearts of the people of New-Hampshire, the decisive majority obtained on the 4th of November may be kept unimpaired, and a prosperous future await the hosts of Liberty in our good State. So let it be.
