Wins Meritorious Service
Award From Air Force
1st Lt. Duvahn W. Sayles, has won meritorious service commendation as Unit Supply Officer, 67th Air Rescue Squadron for the period of December 2, 1959 through October, 1959.
A native of Atlanta, who formerly resided at 40 Jeptha St, S. W. Lt. Sayles displayed application of a thorough knowledge of Unit Supply procedures and contributed significantly to the successful accomplishment of the squadron mission.
Lt. Sayles through his outstanding initiative and devotion to duty was responsible for obtaining 4,500 line items from an inactivated squadron, thereby affecting a significant dollar saving to Air Rescue Service.
He displayed exceptional resourcefulness in preparing a special machine listing or supply items for the local base officer to insure adequate material support for his squadron.
By his exemplary performance of duty, Lt. Sayles reflected great credit upon himself and the U. S. Air Force.
