Mississippi Improvement Association Convention at Alton Is Not Largely Attended.
The next convention of the Mississippi River Improvement association will be held at Burlington. The one which just closed at Alton was not as successful or as largely attended as had been hoped for and there will be an effort made next year to more than make up for this fact.
Rock Island and Davenport were not represented at the meeting. Moline's delegates fared well in the elections and naming of committees, W. A. Meese being reelected vice president from Illinois. M. J. McEniry being named executive committeeman, Commissioner I. O. Jahns was made a member of the credentials committee and Mayor M. R. Carlson being named a member of the ways and means committee.
