Calexico to Get Life Saving and Swim Campaign
CALEXICO, May 22 - A Red Cross life saving and swimming campaign will get under way in Calexico on May 25 and continue until June 5. Karl Edmunds, head of local Red Cross activities, announced today.
Edmunds said the courses would be conducted by Loring Hutchinson who was sent to Calexico by the Red Cross to arrange the program.
Hutchinson was formerly with the physical education staff of the Pomona College.
The campaign will be held in the local plunge which was opened May 1.
The plunge will be used exclusively for the courses for the two-week period, Edmunds said.
