Killed By a Wild Beast.

As a little girl about eight years of age was returning home in Jackson county, on the 16th, she was attacked by a wild animal, supposed to be a panther or wild cat, and the blood sucked from the body, which was then concealed. The body was found the next morning near the road, terribly lacerated and covered with brushes and grass. Although search was made, no animals of such propensities could be discovered. An old citizen who has lived near by for sixty years, never knew such an occurrence before.
