Full Text

ALLOW me, Mr. Editor, to insert in your paper, to my Bristol friends and lovers of Boat Sailing, a few lines by way of impressing on their minds, that I do not give up the Ship, tho' crowded as I was by the lovely Harvest, the beautiful Revenue, and the spirited little Julia, with a fleet of other handsome and quick boats, whose names I do not recollect, but which are worthy of their owners. The day was fine but our arrangement for sailing was not generally known or understood therefore confusion instead of order was predominant, but I hope the day is not far distant when we shall have another opportunity of trying our speed with the Bristol boats and under better arrangements. Gentlemen only name the day, the hour and the distance, and I will wait upon you with the swiftness of an Eagle.

M. WOODBURN.
