NON-UNION HITCH-HIKER

Small boys hanging on the rear end of street cars and automobiles are much like non-union men riding along at the expense of union men.

The union scale fixes the rate for all in many an industry. The non-union man is nothing but a hitch-hiker, riding on union gasoline at the expense of those who keep unions going, paying dues and attending meetings-and going on strike when necessary.

There goes the non-union worker, hitch hiking his way along to higher wages, better working conditions and shorter hours, free to desert and run away when any effort is required to maintain the benefits he gets.
