Charge: Got "In Soft"
Mareines Christianze wants his property back and alleged in a complaint filed in circuit court Saturday that it was wheedled away from him by Hannah Carroll, after it had been arranged that the couple were to marry.
He says he began to keep company with her in the early part of 1924 and was led to believe she was single.
But she got a divorce on May 17 and after he got over his surprise he still had tender feelings toward her.
She worked on his feelings, he says by telling of her marital woes and of the conduct of her husband with another woman, in March 1924, he entered into a contract with Max and Anna Somers for the purchase of an $8,500 property on 64th Ave.. West Allis, and told Hannah he had used his life savings to make'a payment on it.
They finally agreed they would be married one year from the date of the divorce and she then induced him. he says, to have the deed made out in both their names.
Then she kept putting him off. She went to live in the lower flat and when she finally refused to talk about marriage at all, he decided to go to law. He wants her to relinquish all title in the property and to pay him $360 back rent.
