STORY SAYS ITALIANS PLAN MANUFACTURE GAS

LUGANO, Switzerland, Nov. 26. (A)—Copies of the Italian financial papers, received recently contain a story which indicates that Italian interests contemplate manufacturing poisonous gases in the event of another war.

The story is of the refinancing operations of a group of chemical plants.

One plant is to be omitted from the re-organization.

The papers explained this move by saying that this plant would be used for experimental research, and, in the event of war "it can readily be turned to the manufacture of poison gases."
