MOVEMENTS OF THE STATE CONSTABLES.

About 11 o'clock, yesterday morning, State Constables Read, Wilson and Gifford raided on the liquor store of Thomas O'Neil in Wanskuck village. The usual appurtenances of the liquor trade were found. An examination of the premises was instituted, and it was evident that the proprietor had received notice of the intended visit of the officials, having removed most of his stock to an out-of-the-way place. Ten barrels of ale, however, were found, together with a quantity of port wine. O'Neil was arrested on seven complaints, five for illegal sale, one for keeping for sale, and one for nuisance. He was arraigned before Justice Case, and gave bail for his appearance.
