Punishment of a Freesoiler.

The punishment of the prominent Freesoilers by the "national" parties of which they are members, is indeed terrific. Here is one species of "proscription!" now most stringently applied to them. Mr. Wilmot, it will be recollected, was the regular Democratic nominee. We take the vote from the Albany Atlas. It will be seen that he ran ahead of his ticket.

Wilmot's majority, 2381.

Mr. Wilmot's opponents issued tickets marked "For Presiding Judge, 12th district, David Wilmot," instead of 13th district. They sold out the State ticket; but the fraud did not avail them.
