Full Text

A Washington correspondent of the Baltimore Gazette, under date of the 9th inst., says:

"The municipal embroglio is rather increasing in interest as matters become complicated. Both Boards held their meetings to day, and the Radical Council, following the example set them yesterday by the Radical Mayor, entered the Council Chamber by force and then had the lock taken from the door. Lock-picking and house-breaking are becoming legitimate amusements, if not occupations, at the National Capital. The struggle, however, between the parties is an unequal one, and the Radicals must hold the power. The white citizens of Washington are not a match for the carpet baggers, backed by Congress and the negroes."
