FENCE AROUND
RAILWAY HOTEL

(Special Moline Service.)

A 10-foot barbed wire fence has been built around the hotel in the Silvis yards and according to S. W. Mellinitt, superintendent of the shops, is located north of the coal chutes and west of the storehouse, outside of the high board enclosure which was erected during the strike several years ago.

The Greer News agency controls the hotel which is for the accommodation of trainmen whose runs terminate at Silvis. Aside from the trainmen and members of the fire department the special police are being housed there during the strike.

It is believed that the hotel is being made ready for quartering foreign laborers. A number of men were expected to arrive Sunday night, but so far as could be learned today the bunk cars in the yards are not yet occupied.

Pickets are still on the job and everything is quiet in the shop district.
