Ottawa, Kansas, Aug. 16.—Last night Mr. O. E. Strong, editor of the Williamsburg Herald, visited this city, and remaining over night, the guest of S. Devore. During the night a party of masked men visited his room, over-awed him with a pistol, and then gagged and tied him to the bed, deluging him with water. This is supposed to be the result of a publication that reflected on an ex-employee in the post office, which appeared in the Herald a short time since.
